Feed in Tariffs (FITs) are the money that is paid for the production of electricity from non carbon sources. As a producer of electricity from a certified installation of a renewable energy source FITs pay you for every unit of electricity that you produce.

Renewable Heat Incentive Tariffs
This is a Government intiative similar to Feed in Tariffs that is designed to encourage the use of renewable heat sources, rather than carbon based heat sources. This would include Solar Heat Panels, Air and Ground Source Heat Pumps and Biomass (typically wood or wood derivative fuelled).
