Wind Turbine Open Day 29th September 2010.

DSC02452We would be delighted if you would join us at the next open day and demonstration at the site of our vertical axis wind turbine at either 11.00am or 2.30pm on Wednesday 29th September, to the south west of Shrewsbury.

A combination of new feed in tariffs (effective from April 2010) and rising electricity prices mean that wind turbines should be capable of providing attractive financial returns as well as a clean and reliable source of energy. BECL are the regional distributors for Vertical Wind Energy turbines. We have looked long and hard before establishing links with a particular supplier and we are convinced that these turbines represent the best opportunity for simple, efficient and barely audible turbine electricity generation.

Our demonstration model is a 3KW turbine but we will be upgrading this to a similarly designed 6KW model.

At the open day you will be able to see the turbine in operation, we will present a series of brief talks to cover all aspects about wind turbines including:

  • How the turbine works
  • Survey and turbine positioning
  • The planning application
  • Ground works
  • Commissioning
  • Feed in tariffs and how they are obtained
  • Costs
  • Possible returns

We aim to dispel the confusion surrounding wind turbines and explain exactly how they operate and might perform for you. I do hope that you will join us at 11am or 2.30pm on the 29th September at the demonstration site at Hope Hall, Drury Lane Near Minsterley, SY5 0EN, just south west of Shrewsbury. If you wish to attend, please contact us on enquiries@becl.co.uk or 01743 239229.
