Planning Applications for Renewable Energy

The complexity of planning for renewable energy varies between the technologies: wind turbines can be controversial with issues such as visual intrusion, noise and impact on wildlife as well as MoD clearance. Solar PV should be more straightforward.

Generally renewable installations are supported by planning policy, but all the issues such as submitting the correct plans and documentation remain.

At BECL we have successfully gained planning consents from Penzance to Penrith for wind turbines totalling 18 and have gained consent for over 2.5MW of solar PV. We can provide a comprehensive application covering all relevant issues to ensure the best chance of success.
